How to Eat Right: Salad in a Jar

Eating right is so important to our health, but despite this many folks think that it takes too much time and effort to eat healthy. A well balanced diet is actually not that difficult to maintain, even for busy people on the go. Most healthy options only require a few minutes of preparation. Here is a quick tutorial on how to make ten meals worth of salads in about twenty minutes.




Some other ideas for meals that can be prepared with minimal preparation and planning are:


Breakfast
  • Oatmeal w/dried fruit
  • Boiled egg
  • Sandwich Thins w/peanut butter
  • Yogurt w/fresh fruit

Lunch/Dinner
  • Frozen meal with less than 600mg of sodium
  • Salad w/precut veggies & tuna
  • Steamed Vegetables

Snacks
  • Pre portioned packs of nuts
  • Baby carrots w/hummus
  • String cheese sticks
  • Fresh fruit

Beverages
  • Water w/fruit slices
  • Sparkling water
